News Desk: Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee might have been embarrassed as he was not informed about the photo shoot in Lok Sabha and missed the opportunity to appear with all the MPs.

There was a photo session scheduled for all the MPs on Wednesday to commemorate 60 years of Parliament. However, the veteran Congress leader was not informed about it and missed it.

Reacting to his absence, National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah said that he was not there. He said that Mukherjee should have been there and should have been informed about it.

Sources said that officials in the Parliament had forgotten to inform Mukherjee about the photo session.

Later, the office of the Finance Ministry released a statement saying that he was not aware of the function. Mukherjee said that there was some miscommunication and he did not get the invitation for the photo session.

Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MPs alleged that they were also discriminated at the time of the photo session. AIADMK leader Maitreyan said that the Lok Sabha MPs were given priority over the Rajya Sabha. Even sitting arrangement was changed while the group photos of both the Houses were being taken on Wednesday.
