26 killed in Accident on Mumbai-Pune Highway PDF Print E-mail

News Desk: At least 26 people including four children were killed and several others were injured when a speeding auto rammed into a stationary bus on a highway connecting Mumbai and Pune in Maharashtra.


Police said that 27 people were injured in the mishap. The injured were rushed to the hospitals.


The incident occurred in the Khalatpur area early on Monday. The bas carrying people was returning from a wedding ceremony.


According to reports, two buses were carrying people of a marriage party. One of the busses' tyres got punctured on the highway and was parked on the roadside. Another bus was stationed just behind the vehicle. The incident occurred when a speeding auto rammed into the second bus from the rear, crushing people on the road.
