Patna: Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh was killed on Friday morning by unidentified gunmen when he stepped out of his home for a morning walk. The incident intensified violence in Bihar.

His supporters took the violence on streets and set two tankers and an auto on fire. Police patrolling have been intensified in the area to review the situation.


The incident occurred when Brahmeshwar Singh was going for a morning walk and he was attacked by gunmen. He was shot dead on the spot at Katira Mohalla under Nawada police station, 71 km from Patna.


Singh alias Mukhiya was earlier facing life imprisonment in various carnage cases. However, he was acquitted and released from jail in April this year.
