News Desk: BEML CMD VRS Natarajan issued a defamatory notice to retired Army Chief General VK Singh, saying his statement against Tatra tucks were false and damaging.

He strongly defended saying no letter has been received, which alleged that the trucks supplied to army are sub-standard.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Natarajan alleged that General VK Singh's statements are demeaning of his stature. He said that he has sent a defamatory notice today seeking an apology from the former Army Chief on the issue. He said that lawsuit will be filed against VK Singh if he does not apologise as this is the question of the honour of the company.

Talking about the allegations made by General Singh, Natarajan said that some joker on the road tells a story and the third rate news is published.

His statement comes a day after General VK Singh retired as the Army Chief on Thursday. He had alleged he was offered a bribe of Rs 14 crore to clear the acquisition of sub-standard Tartra trucks.
