Ex-Army Chief VK Singh Summoned in Defamation case |

News Desk: Former Army Chief General (Retired) VK Singh has been summoned by a Delhi court in a defamation case filed by Lt. Gen. (retd) Tejinder Singh. He has been asked to appear before the court on July 20.
General VK Singh has been issued summon along with four others in the defamation case. He is the first former Army Chief to have been issued summon by the court.
General Tejinder Singh appealed to the court to summon the former army chief and others including Army Vice Chief Lt. Gen. S.K. Singh, Director General Military Intelligence Lt. Gen. B.S. Thakur, Additional Director General Public Information Major Gen. S.L. Narsimhan and Directorate General of Public Information Staff Officer Lt. Col. Hitten Sawhney, for allegedly making statement against him in media that he had offered a bribe of Rs 14 crore to VK Singh.
Gen Tejinder Singh alleged that the officers have misused their official positions, power and authority to level false charge against him. Gen VK Singh had made a startling revelation in media that he had been offered bribe to clear a deal for 600 substandard Tatra trucks.
