Breaking News! The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday filed a chargesheet against former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan in the Adarsh housing scam.


The probing agency also filed chargesheet against 13 others accused in the scam. The chargesheet comes 17 months after the FIR filed against the accused.


Chavan is among the 14 accused in the case in which Union ministers Vilasrao Deshmukh and Sushilkumar Shinde are also under the scanner. The scam had triggered a political storm in Maharashtra, which further led to the resignation of Chavan as the CM.
