Breaking News! Asiad gold medalist Pinki Pramanik, who is accused of raping a woman, has been granted bail by a district court on Tuesday. The athlete had recently undergone a gender test.

The North 24 Parganas district court granted the athlete bail. She will be released out of jail following her arrest on June 14.

The former middle-distance runner has been accused of being a male and raping her live-in partner. The woman alleged that Pinki was a male. Following the allegations, Pinki had undergone a gender test.

However, her gender could not be determined as the facility for the chromosome pattern test was unavailable at the state-run hospital.
