| Nepal Bus Mishap: 36 Indians Killed |

News Desk: In a shocking tragedy today, at least 39 people, including 36 Indians were killed in a bus mishap in Southern Nepal. The incident occurred when an overcrowded bus lost balance and fell into the Triveni river. Â The tragedy took place in Nawalparasi district which is 150 km west of Kathmandu. The pilgrims were Bol Bam devotees, who were going to participate in the festival in a temple in Triveni Ghat. Â Most of the victims were from Uttar Pradesh. The 36 deceased included 25 men, 10 women and one child. Around 90-100 were reportedly on board the bus when the incident occurred. Â The rescue operation is going on full swing with the joint efforts from police force and Nepalese Army. Efforts are on to locate other passengers. 20-30 people have been rescued so far. They are being treated at various hospitals. |
