Curfew lifted in Srinagar, Life returns to Normal PDF Print E-mail

Breaking News! The Jammu & Kashmir government on Saturday has lifted the curfew in several parts of Srinagar to bring back the normal life of the Kashmiri people. The curfew was imposed to prevent Muharram processions and to maintain peace in the city.

 

All the shops and business establishments as well as schools and educational institutions were set open today.


Police said that Shia Muslims' plan to take Muharram processions was failed in central Srinagar where curfew was imposed. In various districts Muslims gathered and attended the processions on the eve of Muharram on Friday.
