Bhubaneswar: One battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) arrived in Orissa's Maoist-affected Koraput district as part of the Centre's proposed 'Operation Green Hunt' against the red rebels.

The Orissa Government hasn't yet announced a date to launch the operation. It could begin next month after the arrival of five more battalions of central para-military forces.

The BSF battalion that arrived in Koraput, consists of 600 professionals. Two more batallions will reach the state by Friday/Saturday. The BSF personnel could be deployed on the border areas with Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
