Breaking News! According to latest TV reports from Odisha, Laxmipur MLA Jhina Hikaka, who has been under the Maoists' custody since March 23, will be released at 10 AM tomorrow.

The decision to free BJD MLA Hikaka, was taken at the People's Court of Praja Court. The government has already sought more time to meet the Maoists' demands.

Maoist leader Aruna, who is in charge of Jhina Hikaka told Chashi Mulia Adivasi Sangha (CMAS) lawyer Nihar Ranjan Patnaik that the MLA could be released tomorrow at Balipeta in Narayanpatna block of Koraput district.

According to unconfirmed reports, Jhina Hikaka has assured the Maoists and tribals that he would try his best to resolve all their issues and resign from the Assembly if he fails to do that.

Maoist leader Aruna told a local TV channel that Jhina Hikaka has decided to resign from the Odisha Assembly after his release tomorrow. He is reportedly unhappy that the government did little to secure his release and failed to meet the Maoists' demands.
