Bhubaneswar: Keeping the expected rush of passengers during world famous Rath Yatra in Puri into mind, the East Coast Railway has decided to run 60 special trains from different parts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
The special trains will run to and from the pilgrim town Puri to minimise the rush in other regular trains on the occasion of Rath Yatra (car festival), 'Sandhya Darshan' (evening offering on chariots), 'Bahuda Yatra' (return car festival) and 'Sunabesa' (golden attire of the Lords) at Bada Danda.
Railway sources said that 8 regular trains will be rescheduled. The special trains to Puri will depart from Visakhapatanam, Palasa, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Paradip, Bhadrak, Berhampur, Sambalpur and Gunupur.
