Breaking News! The election war has already begun in Uttar Pradesh, but the ruling BSP is in dilemma about the public promotion campaign. The Election Commission is likely to decide whether the statues of Chief Minister Mayawati will be covered.
The EC is likely to take decision at a meeting on Saturday evening about the statues of Mayawati after the complaint received from several rival parties that the statues of the BSP chief give the party an unfair advantage.
Recently, the BJP had demanded for the removal of the statues of elephant, the symbol of the BSP, installed in the state.
The EC has ordered to remove the government hoardings and ads in the state ahead of the polls, but the statues of the elephants were not removed yet.
