Breaking News! The India Today-Org Poll 'Mood of the Nation' has come up with surprising results, exposing the real political situation in the country. The Congress is on the decline, while the BJP is marching ahead. Â The India Today-Org Mood of the Nation poll was based on a survey across 19 states in 98 randomly selected constituencies. Interestingly, regional parties are in a better position to play decisive role in the government formation in future. Â The survey predicts just 110 seats for the Congress, if the elections are held today. It is seen as a drastic decline as compared to the 2009 election, in which the party had won 206 seats on its own. Â The BJP, which had won just 116 seats in 2009, is likely to win 140 seats today, the poll predicts. The non-UPA and non-NDA parties are likely to register big gains, it is believed. Â In another interesting development, the India Today-Org poll has revealed that Narendra Modi has emerged as the people's choice for the post of Prime Minister. He is way ahead of Congress' choice, Rahul Gandhi. Â Also, the poll gives a thumbs up to anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare, saying he is far more powerful than Rahul Gandhi and will win the elections by a landslide margin wherever he contests. |
