Breaking News! In a big development today, the Tamil Nadu Assembly suspended Leader of the Opposition and DMDK chief Vijayakanth for 10 days for showing rude behaviour. Â The decision to suspend Vijayakanth from attending the Assembly was taken by the Assembly Privileges Committee after the big tussle yesterday. Since the current Assembly session ends on Februay 4, Vijayakanth won't be able to attend seven days of the next session too. Â Assembly Speaker D Jayakumar confirmed that Vijayakanth won't be entitles for any benefits meant for an Oppostion leader during the suspension period. Other DMDK MLAs were let off with a warning. Â The Tamil Nadu Assembly witnessed chaos and pandemonium yesterday following a heated arguement between CM J Jayalalithaa and Vijayakanth. The DMDK MLAs created a ruckus in the Assembly and had to be evicted from the House. |
