News Desk: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday afternoon seeking financial package for the state and discuss the Presidential poll.

The Trinamool Congress chief Mamata has given a 15-day deadline to the UPA government to accept her demand. Mamata said that her TMC government is suffering from a huge debt burden of loans up to over Rs 2,00,000 crore, which are inherited from the Left Front government. Even the government is not able to pay salaries to the employees or invest anything on development work in the state.

The demand for the financial package will put a high pressure on the UPA government as it needs Mamata's support for the Presidential poll. The deadline will end on May 6.

Mamata is also likely to discuss the controversial National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) Act. She will also meet External Affairs Minister SM Krishna on the Teesta River Water sharing deal with Bangladesh.

Mamata is likely to meet Sonia Gandhi to discuss the Presidential poll. She may reveal whom she will support for the President post.

Sources say that Mamata is not in favour of former president APJ Abdul Kalam whom the BJP is considering to back. She may support Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee or Vice-President Hamid Ansari for the President’s post.
