Srinagar: Breaking News! Violence returned to the valley after a brief lull. Curfew was imposed in Srinagar, after four people were killed in police firing yesterday. The prortesters and security forces clashed at many places in the valley during Friday prayers.

 
According to some local media reports, calls were made using loudspeakers in mosques, asking people to join the protests against the government and security forces. The CRPF and police opened fire in in Amargarh near Sopore and Chanpora in Srinagar.
 
 
Two people were killed in Amargarh, while two others were killed in Pattan. The dead included a 16-year-old boy in Pattan, who suffered bullet injury in the chest. He was identified as Rafiq Ahmad. Another 21-year-old Nazir Ahmad Mir of Sheeri Baramulla was also killed.
 
 
Over 50 people were injured in the violent clashes. The clashes occurred in many places of the valley after the Friday prayers, when the hundreds of protesters assembled, shouted slogans and pelted stones at the CRPF and police. Several police vehicles were set on fire by the mob.
