Bhopal: In a shocking development, the Income Tax (I-T) officials recovered properties and cash worth Rs 3 crore from the house of an IAS couple in Bhopal and Raipur. The IAS couple in question are Principal Secretary-level officers Arvind Joshi and his wife Tinu.
According to sources, at least Rs 2.5 crore in cash in suitcases was recovered from the residence of the IAS couple. They allegedly have haw ala links and are said to be involved in foreign transactions worth crores of rupees.Some foreign currencies were also seized from the couple's residence. Premises of several other IAS officers were also raided across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh yesterday. The media reports suggest that illegal cash and assets worth Rs 10 crore came to light during the I-T raids. |
