Sports Desk: Leander Paes of India and Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic won the Shanghai Masters Doubles Title. They defeated Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna of India 6-7 (7/9), 6-3, 10/5 in a thrilling final. Paes-Stepanek lost the first set, but bounced back to win the remaining two and the title.

She flew Kiran Mk II jet trainer aircraft at IAF`s training academy at Dundigal in Andhra Pradesh. She was invited as a special guest for the closing ceremony of the Inter Squadron Sports Championship. The IAF has been honouring India's sport personalities for their achievements in their respective fields.

In a big relief to ace Tennis players Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna, the Karnataka High Court has stayed the two-year ban imposed on these players by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) on disciplinary grounds. The HC has sent notices to AITA and Sports Ministry over the ban.

Sports Desk: Olympic bronze medalist and India's ace shuttler Saina Nehwal has signed a Rs 40 crore endorsement deal with Rhiti Sports, a sports management company. The deal has been signed for the next three years. Rhiti Sports has been managing the marketing for Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni too.

Sports Desk: Ace Tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi has hit out at the AITA, saying he would drag them to court over the two-year ban imposed on him. However, AITA refused to relent and said they are ready to take on Bhupathi and go for all necessary action against him. Bhupathi held a press conference and blamed AITA chief Anil Khanna of playing dirty politics. He alleged that Khanna targeted him by firing from Leander's shoulders.
