British PM prefers Dow Chemicals over India PDF Print E-mail

Breaking News! In a shocking development, British Prime Minister David Cameron said that he would be very said if India boycotted the London Olympics, but ruled out dropping Dow Chemicals from sponsorship.

Cameron termed Dow Chemicals a very reputable company and did not see any problem with Dow's association with the 2012 London Olympics. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has also backed the Dow Chemicals.

India had objected to Dow's association with London Olympics on the ground that the company was linked to the Union Carbide Corporation, which was responsible for the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

David Cameron expressed "huge sympathy" for those injured and killed in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, but said boycotting the Olympics won't be a right action. He made these statements on Karan Thapar's "Devil's Advocate" programme on CNN-IBN.
