Breaking News! The All India Tennis Association (AITA) has finally worked out a compromise formula and decided to send two teams for the Men's Doubles event of the London Olympics. It has decided to pair Leander with Vishnu Vardhan and Mahesh Bhupathi with Rohan Bopanna.

India's No. 1 player Leander Paes will partner with junior player Vishnu Vardhan and they will be the No. 1 team for India. Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna, who refused to partner with Leander, will be treated as No. 2 team. No disciplinary action will be taken against Mahesh and Bopanna.

The AITA also allowed Leander Paes to pair with Sania Mirza at the Mixed Doubles event to compensate him. It could be recalled that Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza have recently won the French Open Mixed Doubles title. Bhupathi won't take it lightly. However, he has no option but to accept it.

Earlier, injured Somdev Devvarman had declared himself fit for the London Olympics. However, it seems that the AITA did not want to take a risk at a prestigious event like the Olympic Games. Leander Paes has not responded yet to to the AITA's decision.
