In a historical victory, Roger Federer won his seventh Wimbledon title beating Andy Murray in the singles final under a closed roof on Centre Court. He beat his opponent 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday.

Federer, who is the 17-time Grand Slam champion, gave no little chance to the Britain's Murray to bag the title. However, it was a disappointing moment for the British fans, who had high hopes to win the title after tolerating 76 years of national pain.

Earlier, British had last won the Wimbledon title in 1936 with outstanding performance by Fred Perry.
