News Desk: In a disappointing moment for the Indo-Russian pair Leander Paes and Elena Vesnina, they will have to wait for their first Grand Slam title together as they lost to Mike Bryan and Lisa Raymond in the Wimbledon mixed doubles.

The pair was defeated 3-6 7-5 4-6 after battling for two hours and four minutes. With the defeat, Paes and Vesnina ended runners-up at a tennis major for the second time in this year. Earlier, the pair had lost the final of the Australian Open in January to Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Horia Tecau.

Paes is the highest Grand Slam title winner for India with 13 trophies, six of them are mixed doubles. However, Paes and his partner Vesnina appeared less dominating in Yesterday's match.  Mike Bryan and Lisa Raymond won the title with outstanding performances.

Paes' brilliant performance was missed in the match after a selection drama for London Olympics. He was forced to pair with Vishnu Vardhan after both Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna refused to pair with him. Paes was teamed with Sania Mirza for the mixed doubles event.
