Sports Desk: India's further medal hopes at London 2012, took a further beating, as wrestlers Amit Kumar and Narsingh Pancham Yadav crashed out of their events yesterday.

The 18-year-old Amit Kumar got a first round bye and then reached the quarterfinals with a 3-1 win over Hassan Sabzali Rahimi of Iran in the pre-quarters.

However, he lost to Georgian Vladimer Khinchegashvili in the quarterfinal. He still had a chance to win a bronze, but lost to Bulgarian Radoslav Marinov Velikov 0-3 in the Repechage 2 to crash out of the Olympics.

Narsingh Pancham Yadav lost to Canadian Matthew Judah Gentry 1-3 in the first round. Later, Gentry lost his quarterfinal bout to American Jordan Ernest Burroughs. So, Narsingh did not get a chance to complete in the Repechage.

India's Yogeshwar Dutt will take on Bulgaria's Anatolie Ilarionovitch Guidea in the opening round of the men's 60 kg freestyle wrestling event. Beijing Olympics bronze medalist Sushil Kumar will start his campaign in the 66kg category tomorrow.
