News Desk: Indian hockey team reputation is in tatters as the eight-time Olympic champions lost to South Africa 2-3 to finish 12th in the Olympic men’s hockey on Saturday.
India struggled to leave their mark in the Olympic competition. However, the players did not show any determination to win the match and South Africa bagged the chance to make their position strong.
For India, it was a disappointing moment when it lost the match, while South Africa achieved their first-ever win against India in a major international tournament.
While, South Africa gave the first goal in 8 minutes through Andrew Cronje, India drew level through Sandeep in 13 minutes. However, India finally tasted the defeat 2-3 to finish 12th in the competition.
