BMW launches Mini Cooper in India @ Rs 25-36 Lakh PDF Print E-mail

News Desk: German carmaker BMW launched its iconic Mini Cooper in India on Thursday. This luxury mini car was first exhibited at the Indian Car Expo in January 2012. India is the 100th market for this iconic car.


Price (ex-showroom) of the Mini Cooper will range from Rs. 25 lakh to 36 lakh for its different variants. BMW plans to bring the following models to India: MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper S (sporty), MINI Cooper S Countryman, MINI Cooper S Countryman High and MINI Cooper Convertible.


The German car maker came to India in 2006 and since then making a steady growth in sales with luxurious cars with expensive tastes. Despite the country's slowing economy and badly pitted roads, Luxury car maker BMW’s market in the country is growing in an ascending order.


BMW has also opened up 2 brand new separate dealerships for Mini cars, in New Delhi and Mumbai.


Andreas Schaaf, India president of BMW has informed that since its launch of the Mini Cooper at the Indian Auto Expo in January this year, the company has received bookings for around 100 units. Those cars will be delivered to the consumers in May. The Indian segment of BMW will import the cars from Mini’s factory at Oxford, UK.


BMW mini cooper can be considered as the world's most exciting premium small car.
