News Desk: Indian motorized vehicle-producing firm Bajaj Auto Limited has launched the ‘Discover 125 ST' sports bike on Monday. The new bike is powered by Bajaj's patented ‘DTS-iTwin Spark' technology with comfort and economy of a commuter motorcycle.

The bike will be available in the Indian market in coming June. Price of the bike has not been announced but it is believed to be around Rs 50,000 in India.


The engine of the Discover 125 ST is equipped with four valves that deliver 13 PS of power, highest in the 125cc category.  The bike comes with a five-speed gear box, with ‘monoshock nitrox suspension' for maximum comfort and a specially designed ‘anti-vibration' frame to tone with Indian roads.


At the launching Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj said the company was going to focus on Pulsar and Discover brands and bring out new bikes every year for domestic and export markets.


Bajaj Auto had emerged as a market leader in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Philippines and Nigeria in terms of motorcycle sales. It is the No.3 player in the global bike market after Honda and Hero MotoCorp.  


In the last three years, the company's bike sales had doubled, which is likely to cross 50-lakh units this year and the growth in terms of revenues had been three times that would be around Rs.20,000 crore this year while profits increased five to six times – Mr. Bajaj informed during the launch.
