Malware Attack: Thousands may lose Internet Today PDF Print E-mail

News Desk: Thousands of internet users, whose computers were infected with malicious software more than a year ago, may lose their surfing facility today as the FBI planned to shut down the Internet servers set up as a temporary safety net to keep the infected computers online for the past 8 months.

The problem started last year when international hackers ran an online advertising scam to conquer more than 570,000 infected computers around the world. However, when The FBI went in to nab the big issue they found that if they turned off the malicious servers being used to control the computers, all the victims would lose their Internet service.

Accordingly FBI brought in a private company to install two clean Internet servers to take over for the malicious servers so that people wouldn't suddenly lose their Internet access.

Many internet users do not know that their computers were infected, although the malicious software probably has slowed their web surfing and disabled their antivirus software, making their machines more vulnerable to other issues.

On the other, hand in answer to the request that whether the users’ system has been infected by the Malware when they are sought on Twitter and Facebook some people believed that federal authorities are trying to spy on them and want everyone to go to that website so that they can check their computers to steal data for their own research.
