San Francisco: Internet giant, Google has launched a set of social networking tool, including 'Buzz' to take on top social networking sites, Twitter and Facebook. While only a small number of Gmail account holders will get access to Google Buzz now, the feature will be available to most within a few days.

Google Buzz will allow the users to share photos, videos, web links and many more, what are offered by majority of social networking sites. A separate section called Buzz will be available on Gmail.

Google also launched special mobile phone apps for Buzz for Apple's iPhone and for smartphones powered by its own Android operating system. Gmail is all set to take on Facebook, which has 400 million members, as compared to Gmail's 167 million users.
