Come on Praveen, they always claim it with a word 'UPTO' attached to it i.e the value is maximum possible value. I'm a BSNL user, and I can really say on the basis of my interaction with other guys that no other company gives you the speed BSNL gives that too at such low costs.

So far as the speed of the internet is concerned, BSNL has never been seen as honest as it should be. For example for unlimited plans BSNL has been announcing its speed upto 256 kbs where in in practical it is no so. On approaching to the higher authorities, nothing has been fruitful in this regard. The experience is really very sad and disappointing.
