As the transformation and industrialization has entered the epoch, the system of joined families has also been declined to a large extend. Couples are emphasizing more living in nuclear families as they want their space, an opportunity to create their own identity and want to live life their way.

 

Now-a-days the trend of nuclear families can be seen in many societies. Nuclear family has given couples time to interact, financial freedom, ideas of mutual respect and equality, self dependent etc. Women feel more comfortable in nuclear families as they have less people to interact, to answer and more time to understand their needs and requirements and also of their husband and children.

 

Both husband and wife can earn mutually and joint understanding and love is supposed to keep them together and enhance their self-confidence as they compete economically with other small family units.

 

Women can work outside freely and can give a good life style to her children with the mutual support of her husband. There is no interference of in laws and other relatives, so the couples can live life on their own terms.

 

The nuclear family gave colossal liberty from the ethnicity and ways of life that the old system has ridden with. Both man and woman can share their responsibilities equally, which is not as easier in joint family system.

 

The nuclear family also provides a sense of reliability, more physical and emotional resources. Women on one hand where enjoy the freedom of work, and on other hand she enjoy the responsibilities shared with her male counterparts equally.
