News Desk: More than 120 school girls and three female teachers were rushed to the hospital in Afghanistan on Wednesday after coming contact with poison, which was plotted by the Taliban.

Most of the girls have been discharged, but 30 including three teachers were still being treated in a hospital in Takhar province.

According to preliminary investigation, students and teachers fell ill after they came contact with the poisonous materials sprayed in classrooms at Bibi Haji School. The girls complained of nausea, headaches and dizziness on Wednesday.

The blood samples of the victims have been sent to Kabul for tests.

Such heinous crime can be committed by the Taliban, the radical group, which is still doing bias against women. This is the second poison attack in the area.

The Taliban has been campaigning to close girl schools ahead of the withdrawal of US and NATO forces in 2014. Afghan Education Ministry said that around 600 schools have been closed in 11 Taliban strongholds in the country.

This is the second poison attack this year. Earlier in April, more than 100 school girls from Takhar were admitted to hospitals after drinking water, which was suspected to have been poisoned.
